OUR PRODUCTIONS

The participants in the course created some wonderful short films that deptict a connection to their place on the Central Coast.

These reveal a heartfelt love and appreciation of where they live and develop into young adults.

These films are showcased with permission of the students (not for reproduction or use without permission).

My Place, My Pride by Fionn Molloy

Nominated as Finalist in Fastnet Film Festival, Ireland!

Fionn, who is 14, shares his story of moving from his home place in Ireland, leaving family and friends and resettling in Australia. He shares his feelings on calling the Central Coast home and on what he has learned that has helped him to connect with the locality.

 

Out of 700 entries, Fionn was one of 125 shortlist, one of 7 in the U17's catagory. His film will be shown on May 29th in Schull, Ireland.

 

My Place, My Pride by Egan Thornycroft

Egan, an ET student created a moving and beautiful short film about the places on the Central Coast that are important in his life. This beautifully shot film will tug at your heart strings and have you waiting in anticipation for the next view of captivating scenery.

 

This gives a rarely seen insight into life as a teenager on the Central Coast.

 

Aliens walk among us by Zac Cutcliffe

Zac, a Central Coast Adventist student, created this film to tell the story of an alien that has landed on the Central Coast. He explores the land through touch and wonders over the various items he encounters on his journey.

 

He finally decides to call home.........

 

Life in Someone Else's Shoes by Daniel & Josh Burwood

Daniel and Josh tell the story of their Grandfather who walked the Kakoda Trail. They intend to walk the trail themselves in the future.

 

It is based on the idea of the Adam Sandler movie 'The Cobbler' in which the character stumbles upon a magical heriloom that allows him to wear other peoples shoes, become those people and see the world in a different way.

 

This film has strong personal reflections and is a heart felt message from Grandfather to his grandsons.
